1. Introduction

HDI (hexamethylene diisocyanate) is a kind of aliphatic diisocyanate, which is a low-viscosity, colorless or yellowish liquid at room temperature, with a pungent odor.

HDI mainly used in the production of elastomers, coatings, adhesives, etc.
